What to Expect

In Delaware, newly licensed real estate salespersons must complete 12 hours of post-licensing education within the first year of receiving their license.
This mandatory training is designed to ensure that new salespersons develop a strong foundation in Delaware’s real estate laws, ethical standards, and professional best practices right from the start of their careers.
Required Post-License Education for Delaware Real Estate Salespersons
- Format: The 12 hours are divided into four 3-hour moduleseach covering a key aspect of real estate practice.
- Timeline: All 12 hours must be completed within the first 12 months of receiving your salesperson license.
- Consequence of Non-Completion: If you do not complete the 12-hour requirement by the deadline, your license may become inactive or be subject to disciplinary action, preventing you from legally practicing real estate until the requirement is met.
