To help you prepare for the Michigan real state exam, we included information on how to schedule your exam, the exam’s format, and what you’ll be tested on. Now, all that's left to do is study with the best exam prep in the nation!
Candidates should apply for a real estate license online at the following website: Michigan Professional Licensing User System. First-time users will need to create a MIPLUS account. Applicants for the salesperson license MUST access their MIPLUS account for authorization BEFORE scheduling the real estate exam. Candidates for the broker's exam DO NOT need to apply to the state before testing.
Michigan's real estate exams are administered through PSI. Candidates who wish to schedule the real estate exam should visit the website.
They may also schedule an exam by calling PSI at 855-579-4635.

Salesperson Examination: The exam consists of 115 questions and candidates will have 180 minutes to complete it.
Broker Examination: The exam consists of 115 questions and candidates will have 210 minutes to complete it.
Both the salesperson's and broker's exams are multiple-choice and are given by computer. The exam is given at the following locations: Dearborn, Holt-Lansing, Southfield-Crossroads, Southfield-Lahser, Grand Rapids, Gaylord, and Marquette.
The Salesperson Exam covers the following topics:
Salesperson Examination: A passing score is 70% or higher.
Broker Examination: A passing score is 75% or higher.
All applicants must provide 2 forms of identification. One must be a valid form of government-issued identification that includes a signature and photograph. The secondary identification must include a signature and preprinted legal name.
