Current Processing Timeframes: Candidates who successfully pass the real estate exam will be given their license on the spot, provided they have submitted all required documents and have a sponsoring broker statement.

Salesperson Examination: The exam consists of 152 multiple choice questions covering both national and state-specific topics. Candidates for the national and state salesperson exam have 4 hours to complete the test. Candidates for the Georgia Supplement exam for salespersons have 2 hours.
Broker Examination: The exam consists of 11 simulation problems, 9 of which will be used to calculate the applicant's score. The remaining 2 questions are pre-test questions being considered for a future examination. Candidates have 3 hours to complete the test. Candidates who take the Georgia Supplement Broker exam have 2 hours to complete the test.
Exams are administered on computer at PSI Test Centers in Decatur, Duluth, Fayetteville, Macon, Marietta, and Savannah. The examinations are administered by appointment only Monday through Saturday.

Salesperson Examination: The exam consists of 152 multiple choice questions (100 national and 52 state-specific). The Angoff method is used to determine candidates' grades, which means that subject-matter experts estimate the difficulty of each test item for a “minimally competent practitioner.†Those judgments are then averaged to determine the minimal score necessary to successfully pass the exam.
Broker Examination: The broker exam consists of 11 simulation problems and 4 simulation problems with a state-specific focus. Like the salesperson exam, subject matter experts have examined all of the test items for difficulty and a minimum passing level was established by using the scoring weights assigned to each portion of the test.
All applicants are required to present 2 forms of identification at the testing center. The primary form of ID must be government-issue, current, and include the name, signature, and photograph of the candidate. No form of temporary identification will be accepted.
