How Our Continuing Education Works

1. Sign Up Today

Enroll in the required continuing education courses based on your license type before the renewal deadline. Salespersons and Brokers typically need to complete 15 hours of CE every two years, including mandatory core subjects and elective courses.

2. Complete Your Courses

Choose to complete your courses online or in person, depending on the state’s approved options. Make sure to cover any mandatory topics, such as Risk Management or Ethics, and fulfill the remaining hours with elective courses relevant to your practice.

3. Submit Your Credits

Once you've completed the courses, your education provider will report your CE credits to the state's licensing authority. Don’t forget to retain your completion certificates for your records and renew your license online before the expiration date.

Alabama Real Estate Continuing Education

Alabama continuing education requires real estate salespersons and brokers to complete 15 hours of CE every two years to maintain an active license.

Alabama Risk Management Core Courses (6 hrs total):

  • Risk Management - Level 1: Basic (3 hrs)
  • Risk Management - Level 2: Advanced (3 hrs for salespersons) or Risk Management - For Brokers (3 hrs for brokers)

Elective Courses (9 hrs)
