Sign up for the required number of CE hours specific to your state’s regulations before your license renewal deadline. Each state mandates different requirements, typically including a mix of mandatory and elective courses to keep you informed about updates in laws, ethics, and industry standards.
CE courses can typically be completed online, in-person, or through live virtual formats, depending on your state’s approved options. Ensure you fulfill both core and elective requirements within the designated timeframe, covering subjects relevant to your practice and state guidelines.
After completing the courses, your education provider will usually report your credits directly to your state’s real estate licensing authority. Be sure to keep your certificates of completion and renew your license through your state’s portal before it expires to stay in compliance.

OKLAHOMA REAL ESTATE LICENSE RENEWAL
Sales Associates and Brokers
In Oklahoma, Sales Associates and Brokers must each complete 21 hours of continuing education (CE) every three years to maintain an active license.
This includes 6 hours of Commission‐required topics, with the remaining 15 hours in electives. CE must be finished by the end of the three‐year licensing cycle. Failure to meet this deadline can result in inactive status, requiring any missing CE hours and potential fees to reactivate. No surplus CE hours may be carried over to the next cycle.
Managing, Proprietor, and Branch Brokers
Managing, Proprietor, and Branch Brokers follow the same 21‐hour CE requirement (6 mandatory and 15 elective) each three‐year period.
Newly designated supervising Brokers may need to complete additional “Broker in Charge” training. If CE hours are not met by the end of the cycle, the license becomes inactive until all deficiencies are resolved. As with other license types, CE hours cannot be rolled over to subsequent renewal periods.
