Sign up for the required number of CE hours specific to your state’s regulations before your license renewal deadline. Each state mandates different requirements, typically including a mix of mandatory and elective courses to keep you informed about updates in laws, ethics, and industry standards.
CE courses can typically be completed online, in-person, or through live virtual formats, depending on your state’s approved options. Ensure you fulfill both core and elective requirements within the designated timeframe, covering subjects relevant to your practice and state guidelines.
After completing the courses, your education provider will usually report your credits directly to your state’s real estate licensing authority. Be sure to keep your certificates of completion and renew your license through your state’s portal before it expires to stay in compliance.

Salespersons and brokers in New Hampshire must complete 15 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to maintain an active license.
Of these 15 hours, at least three must be a mandatory core course approved by the New Hampshire Real Estate Commission. This core course typically covers essential topics such as license law, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
The remaining 12 hours may be fulfilled through elective courses, addressing areas like property management, ethics, marketing, or technology. Most licenses expire on the last day of the licensee’s birth month in the renewal year.
Those who fail to meet the 15-hour CE requirement by their license expiration date risk having their licenses placed on inactive status and may incur late fees. To regain active status, all outstanding CE hours must be completed and any applicable fees paid.
Because guidelines can change, licensees should verify the most current CE requirements and course approvals with the New Hampshire Real Estate Commission or an authorized education provider.
