NEW JERSEY REAL ESTATE LICENSE RENEWAL
In New Jersey, both salespersons and brokers must complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain an active license. The breakdown of required CE hours is as follows:
6 core hours, which include:
6 elective hours, which can be additional core topics or elective courses related to real estate.
All CE hours must be completed before the April 30th deadline of the renewal year. Licensees who miss this deadline will be subject to a $200 late CE processing fee. The final license renewal deadline is June 30th. Failure to meet the CE requirements by this deadline will result in an inactive license status until all requirements are fulfilled and the license is reinstated.
